Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef/Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role involves overseeing daily kitchen operations, managing food production, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality service in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in menu development, staff supervision, and maintaining the overall efficiency of the kitchen.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain high standards of quality and presentation.
Manage food production schedules, ensuring timely delivery of dishes during service hours.
Develop innovative menus in collaboration with management, considering customer preferences and seasonal ingredients.
Ensure compliance with all food safety and hygiene regulations, including HACCP standards.
Recruit, train, and motivate kitchen staff to foster a positive working environment.
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control to minimise waste.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Handle customer feedback professionally to uphold the establishment’s reputation for excellence.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a supervisory role within a professional kitchen environment.
Extensive background in food production, culinary arts, and restaurant operations.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
Excellent knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices.
Demonstrable experience in menu development and food presentation.
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Previous hospitality or restaurant experience is essential; serving experience is advantageous but not mandatory.

Pay: £32,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
