Full job description

We are looking for a reliable, caring and hardworking Housekeeping, Laundry & Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Forbes House. You would be working predominantly within our Kitchen Role

This is a varied role supporting the smooth running of the home across our domestic, laundry and kitchen services. You will help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for the people who live with us, while also supporting the preparation and delivery of meals and ensuring residents' clothing and linen are cared for to a high standard.

The successful candidate will take pride in their work, be a positive team player and understand the importance of dignity, respect and person-centred care.

The Role

Your duties will include a combination of the following:

Housekeeping

Cleaning residents' bedrooms, bathrooms and communal areas to a high standard.
Following daily and deep-cleaning schedules.
Maintaining infection prevention and control standards.
Using cleaning equipment and PPE safely.
Reporting damaged equipment or maintenance issues.

Laundry

Collecting, sorting, washing, drying and ironing residents' clothing and linen.
Returning clean laundry to residents' rooms.
Maintaining laundry records and linen stock.
Keeping the laundry area clean and organised.

Kitchen

Assisting the Chef/Cook with food preparation where appropriate.
Washing crockery, utensils and kitchen equipment.
Maintaining high standards of kitchen cleanliness.
Checking food dates and storing food safely.
Supporting the delivery of meals and offering alternatives where required.
Following food hygiene, allergen and CookSafe procedures.
