Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality meals and ensuring smooth kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, a keen eye for safety, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in catering, food preparation, and kitchen management within a professional setting.

Duties

Assist with meal preparation and food service, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards
Support the cleaning and organisation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations
Help with ingredient organisation, storage, and inventory management
Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning
Support the catering team during events or busy service periods
Ensure that all health and safety protocols are adhered to throughout the kitchen
Assist in serving meals to customers or guests as required

Skills

Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or food service is advantageous
Knowledge of cooking techniques and meal preparation processes
Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy environment
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Good communication skills and a friendly attitude towards colleagues and customers
Willingness to learn new skills related to culinary arts and kitchen operations
