Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Construction Operative to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in various construction tasks, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

Carry out site preparation activities such as clearing debris.
Load and unload materials from lorries and transport them to designated areas on-site.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
Operate basic construction tools and equipment safely and effectively.
Carry out a variety of more technical tasks.
Follow instructions from supervisors and contribute to team efforts in meeting project deadlines.
Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to the site supervisor promptly.

Qualifications

Previous experience in construction or a related field is essential.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
Good knowledge of construction tools and safety practices is essential.
A valid CSCS card is desirable but not mandatory; training can be provided for the right candidate.
