Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management, with a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role offers an opportunity to showcase leadership skills, oversee food production, and ensure the highest standards of food safety and hospitality. Previous supervisory experience and a comprehensive understanding of restaurant operations are highly desirable.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes following established recipes and presentation standards
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth daily operations
Manage food production processes, ensuring consistency in quality and portion control
Oversee food safety protocols, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in compliance with regulations
Lead team management efforts, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging professional development
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering supplies, and minimise waste
Maintain organised workstations and ensure all kitchen equipment is functioning correctly
Assist in menu planning and development to reflect current culinary trends and customer preferences

Experience

Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Supervising experience in a culinary context, demonstrating leadership capabilities
Extensive background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
Strong knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
Experience managing teams, coordinating tasks, and ensuring high-quality service delivery
Familiarity with food production processes, serving practices, and customer satisfaction strategies

This role is perfect for a dedicated culinary professional eager to lead by example while delivering outstanding cuisine. Candidates should demonstrate organisational skills, creativity in menu development, and a commitment to excellence in all aspects of kitchen management.
