Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our dynamic team. This role involves supporting the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and relevant experience in food preparation and team management. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your career within a vibrant culinary environment.

Responsibilities

Assist in overseeing daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth service delivery
Support the management team in supervising staff, including servers, kitchen personnel, and baristas
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
Help coordinate food preparation and cooking processes to uphold quality standards
Manage reservations, organise seating arrangements, and optimise table utilisation
Monitor customer satisfaction levels and address any concerns promptly
Assist in training new staff members and providing ongoing coaching to team members
Support inventory management, including stock control and ordering supplies as needed
Contribute to creating a welcoming environment that promotes excellent hospitality and service

Requirements

Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality management, with a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations
Supervising experience with demonstrated team management skills
Knowledge of food safety standards and food production processes
Familiarity with restaurant service procedures, including serving and hospitality best practices
Previous experience in culinary roles such as chef assistant or barista is advantageous
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure
A proactive approach to problem-solving and customer service excellence
Relevant qualifications or certifications in hospitality or culinary arts are desirable
