Full job description

We are a Rawtenstall based business, looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join a rapidly growing Financial Team.

This role will be a perfect opportunity to build your accounting career, whilst working in a fast-paced environment within a collaborative team.

Core Responsibilities

· Accounts Payable & Receivable: Recording and processing sales and supplier invoices.

· Credit Control: Analysing aged receivables and actively chasing outstanding debt.

· Reconciliation: Updating and reconciling bank statements on our accountancy software.

· Monthly Submissions: Assisting with Monthly/Quarterly submissions, VAT returns and statutory reporting.

· Reporting: Analysing and gathering financial data to assist in preparing budgets, submissions and management reports.

· Banking: Assisting with payments and cash flow forecasting.

· Multi-Team Collaboration: Working alongside both a local and international team, assisting with task daily completion.

· Multi-Channel Client Communication: Actively communicating with multiple client liaisons across a range of communication lines to ensure smooth and concise completion of day-to-day tasks.

Key Skills and Qualifications

Prior experience in an accounting or finance role would be advantageous.
Strong Excel skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience working on Xero, Merit and MDA preferable.
Progress towards an accounting qualification (AAT, ACCA, ACA, CIMA).

Pay: £25,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
