Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a reliable Bricklayer to join our family run building and home improvement team. This role involves working on a variety of building projects, from residential to commercial developments. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing diverse tasks , ensuring high standards of quality and safety. A strong background in multiple aspects of construction is essential, along with the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

Duties

Masonry work such as bricklaying, blockwork, and concrete finishing
General building and finishing works
Liaising with other trades and site management as required
Assist with Loading and unloading of materials
Ensuring all work meets required quality and safety standards
Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various construction activities
Follow safety protocols and ensure building safety
Excellent problem-solving skills to address any issues.
Assist with site preparation, clean-up, and organisation of materials

Requirements

Proven experience in Bricklaying
Ability to read technical drawings and interpret project specifications
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Take pride in workmanship
Good physical fitness with the ability to perform manual labour in various weather conditions
Own tools is advantageous
Good understanding of Health & Safety regulations
Relevant certifications or qualifications in construction trades are advantageous but not mandatory
A valid UK driving licence and own van
