Job Overview

We are seeking a few passionate and dedicated Trainee or Experienced Artisan Bakers to join our dynamic bakery team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen interest in making and baking artisan breads to develop their skills within a relaxed but professional environment. Whether you are starting your career or bringing previous experience, you will be involved in crafting high-quality baked goods, ensuring food safety standards are met, and contributing to the overall success of our bakery.

Responsibilities

Prepare and produce a variety of sourdough breads, and specialised items, following established recipes and standards
Assist in the organisation and maintenance of the bakery workspace, ensuring cleanliness and safety at all times
Operate bakery equipment such as mixers, ovens, proofers, and other specialised tools with care and precision
Monitor baking processes to ensure products are baked to the correct colour, texture, and quality standards
Support food preparation activities by measuring ingredients accurately and adhering to food safety protocols
Maintain stock levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting shortages or issues promptly
Follow health and safety regulations diligently to uphold a safe working environment for all team members

Requirements

Previous experience in food production, food preparation, cooking, or kitchen environments is preferred but not essential for trainees willing to learn
Knowledge of baking techniques, culinary practices, and food safety standards is advantageous
A genuine interest in artisan baking with a desire to develop specialised skills within the craft
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Good organisational skills with attention to detail in measuring ingredients and maintaining hygiene standards
Flexibility and reliability to work during scheduled shifts
Willingness to learn new techniques and take direction from senior bakers or supervisors

Pay: £12.71-£15.00 per hour
