About Crunch:
Crunch is a multi-award winning Software as a Service (SaaS) company, born in the heart of Brighton with a brilliant team of 110, and over 40,000 users of our software.
Crunch isn’t your typical online accountancy firm. We’re a grassroots business built from the ground up, facing the same challenges as our clients. Since 2009, we’ve empowered thousands of small and medium sized businesses to take control of their finances with our simple, effective software, which includes real accountant support. Crunch takes the stress out of accounting, so our clients can focus on doing what they love!
We have an exciting new permanent, full-time Email Marketing Executive role in our Marketing team!
About the role:
We’re looking for an exceptional email marketer, who will use Salesforce Marketing Cloud to power our customer communications, can demonstrate a passion for writing compelling copy, and can skilfully map out engaging customer journeys.
Role responsibilities:
You’ll own the day-to-day execution of our email, nurture and lifecycle marketing campaigns. Working closely with the wider marketing team and key stakeholders across Crunch, you’ll deliver reactive and proactive updates, alongside automated journeys that engage, inform, and convert leads into customers.
Copywriting & Creative Strategy
- Craft high-converting email copy, punchy subject lines, and irresistible Calls to Action (CTAs) that make viewers take notice and act.
- As a Brand Guardian, review all outgoing content to ensure it meets best practice, aligns perfectly with Crunch brand guidelines, and meets stakeholder expectations.
Campaign Execution & Journey Mapping
- Design, build, and champion email nurture journeys to optimise lead to sales conversion.
- Review and own the comms customer journey, ensuring our customers see the best information and offers at the right time to meet their needs. Ensure a streamlined client/lead journey, without ‘bombarding’ with emails.
- Help optimise and expand our use of Salesforce Marketing Cloud’s full functionality, refining our processes to include SMS and WhatsApp within the customer journey and driving Omnichannel growth.
- Act as the in-house champion and overall owner of our operational email marketing campaigns, ensuring data segmentation and template personalisation reach the right audiences.
Data, Analytics & Collaboration
- Track performance and obsess over the data. Analyse key metrics (open rates, click through rates, actions taken, and resulting sales) to measure success and continuously iterate through A/B testing.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders including Marketing, Service Operations, Finance, and Product teams to ensure critical customer updates or sales add-ons are sent at the perfect moment - creating cut through.
- Manage projects and ensure awareness of email timelines across key stakeholders and departments. Anticipate potential issues impacting email scheduling. Set realistic timescales for delivery and proactively realign if there are unforeseen changes.
Compliance & Risk
- Keep up to date with the standards of the UK GDPR / Data Protection Act, and specifically PECR regulations, ensuring all planned marketing activities minimise business risk.
About your skills and experience:
Essential:
- A creative spark and exceptional copywriting skills. You know what ‘great’ looks like and how to balance helpful information with persuasive and impactful sales copy.
- Proven experience building automated email nurture flows, managing audience segmentation, and utilising dynamic content.
