Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating high-quality beverages in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food preparation and serving, while ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all customers. The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, adhering to food safety standards, and providing an exceptional experience for every visitor.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks, in accordance with company standards.
Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks when required.
Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring prompt service.
Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including cleaning equipment and surfaces regularly.
Follow food safety regulations diligently to ensure hygiene standards are met.
Manage cash register operations, including handling payments and giving correct change.
Assist with stock replenishment and inventory checks as needed.
Provide friendly and attentive service to all customers, creating a welcoming environment.
Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar customer service role is essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
Knowledge of food safety standards is desirable.
Experience in serving customers and basic food preparation skills are advantageous.
Good basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
Strong time management abilities to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy periods.
Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanour.
Ability to work well within a team and independently when required. This position offers an engaging work environment where you can develop your skills in hospitality while delivering outstanding service to our valued customers , the job involves some work at our local kiosk through summer aswell as the cafe .
