Job Description

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef De Partie to join our culinary team in Barrow-in-Furness, United Kingdom. As a key member of our kitchen brigade, you will be responsible for overseeing a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation.

Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and standards set by the head chef and sous chef
Manage your designated station, overseeing the production of all assigned dishes
Maintain high-quality standards for all dishes, ensuring excellent presentation and taste
Collaborate effectively with all kitchen team members, providing support where necessary
Contribute to menu development by suggesting improvements and innovations
Uphold strict food safety and sanitation practices at all times
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of your designated area and equipment
Assist in stock rotation and inventory management within your section
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff as required
Adapt to a flexible working pattern to support kitchen operations

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Chef De Partie, Commis Chef, or in a similar culinary role
Culinary diploma or equivalent qualification
Up-to-date food hygiene certification
Comprehensive knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items when necessary
Passion for culinary excellence and commitment to continuous learning
