Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical facility and maintaining a welcoming environment for all patients.

Responsibilities

Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression.
Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, including scheduling appointments and handling cancellations.
Answer phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries or directing calls to appropriate staff members.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in compliance with data protection regulations.
Process patient forms, insurance information, and payments as required.
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
Collaborate with medical staff to facilitate efficient patient flow and communication within the practice.
Handle any issues or concerns raised by patients with professionalism and empathy.

Requirements

Previous experience in an office or administrative role is preferred, ideally within a healthcare setting.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients and colleagues professionally.
Proficiency in using office equipment (e.g., computers, printers) and medical software systems is advantageous.
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a calm demeanour in a fast-paced environment.
A compassionate attitude towards patients and a commitment to providing high-quality service.
