Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Duty Manager to oversee daily operations within our hospitality establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, exceptional guest service abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of hotel management. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring high standards of service, and maintaining a welcoming environment for all guests. Multilingual or bilingual capabilities are highly desirable to facilitate effective communication with diverse clientele. The Duty Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth operations and delivering an outstanding guest experience.

Responsibilities

Oversee the daily functioning of the hotel, ensuring all departments operate efficiently and effectively.
Supervise and support team members, providing guidance and leadership to maintain high standards of service.
Handle guest enquiries, complaints, and special requests with professionalism and courtesy.
Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure the property is well-maintained and guest needs are met promptly.
Assist in managing reservations, check-ins, and check-outs to optimise guest satisfaction.
Monitor safety procedures and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across the premises.
Support human resources functions including staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
Ensure all operational procedures adhere to company policies and standards.
Promote a positive working environment that encourages teamwork and professional development.

Skills

Proven supervising experience within the hospitality or hotel industry.
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams.
Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour.
Multilingual or bilingual proficiency is highly advantageous for effective communication with international guests.
Knowledge of human resources practices relevant to staff management and development.
Experience in hotel operations or hospitality management is preferred.
Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure.
Strong problem-solving abilities coupled with excellent communication skills.
