Farm Park Food & Beverage Team LeaderAbout the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic, hands-on Farm Park Food & Beverage Team Leader to join our Food & Beverage team.Reporting to the Farm Park Food & Beverage Manager, you will help lead the day-to-day Food & Beverage operation across our Farm Park outlets, ensuring excellent guest service, strong operational standards and an organised, motivated team.This is very much a hands-on role. You will lead from the front, working alongside the team while taking responsibility for designated outlets and shifts.Our Farm Park Food & Beverage operation is varied and fast-paced, with several outlets operating across the site. Trading levels can change significantly depending on visitor numbers, seasonality, weather and demand, so you'll need to be confident making decisions, deploying people effectively and responding quickly when priorities change.Although primarily based within the Farm Park, we operate as one Food & Beverage team across the Farm Park and Deer Barn. You will therefore also work within and support the Deer Barn Food & Beverage operation when required.This is an hourly paid role, typically averaging approximately 35–40 hours per week across the year. As a seasonal business, hours will be higher during peak trading periods and lower during quieter, off-peak periods.
Hourly Rate: Competitive, dependent on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Food & Beverage team members during designated shifts, ensuring consistently high standards of service.
- Support the Farm Park Food & Beverage Manager with the day-to-day operation of Farm Park Food & Beverage.
- Take responsibility for designated outlets, areas and shifts when required.
- Lead from the front, remaining visible and actively involved in service.
- Complete pre-shift team briefings, allocate duties and set clear expectations.
- Ensure Food & Beverage outlets are fully prepared and ready for opening.
- Monitor staffing and deployment throughout the day, moving team members between outlets to reflect footfall, sales and operational demand.
- Respond quickly to changing visitor numbers, queues and guest demand.
- Maintain excellent standards of guest service across all outlets.
- Deal confidently and professionally with guest enquiries, requests and complaints.
- Coach, support and motivate team members throughout their shifts.
- Monitor service speed, product quality and availability throughout trading.
- Ensure food and beverage service is efficient, accurate and consistently delivered to the required standard.
- Support Food & Beverage sales through strong product knowledge, recommendations and appropriate upselling.
- Support the opening and closing of outlets according to trading requirements.
- Assist with stock ordering, deliveries, stock rotation, distribution, stock control and stock counts.
- Minimise waste, over-portioning, stock loss and unnecessary costs.
- Ensure till, payment and transaction procedures are correctly followed within our cashless operation.
- Work closely with the kitchen to ensure production and service levels meet guest demand.
- Ensure all food safety, allergen, licensing, health & safety and company procedures are consistently followed.
- Ensure temperature checks, cleaning records, operational checks and required documentation are completed accurately and on time.
- Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, organisation and presentation throughout Food & Beverage areas.
- Support the induction and training of new team members.
- Provide ongoing coaching and constructive feedback to team members.
- Identify and escalate performance, conduct, safety or operational concerns when required.
- Support effective labour management by ensuring staffing levels and deployment are appropriate to sales and business demand.
- Communicate stock shortages, operational issues and changing demand promptly to the appropriate manager.
- Work collaboratively with the wider Food & Beverage and management teams to support the overall guest experience.
- Work within and support the Deer Barn Food & Beverage operation when required, including restaurant, bar, hospitality and function service.
- Support colleagues across both operations during busy trading periods and operational peaks.
- Carry out any other reasonable Food & Beverage duties required to support the successful operation of the business.

- Has previous experience within hospitality, Food & Beverage, visitor attractions, restaurants, cafés or another fast-paced customer environment.
- Ideally has previous supervisory or Team Leader experience.
- Is confident leading and motivating a team.

- Is comfortable overseeing multiple Food & Beverage outlets or service points.
- Can react quickly to changing footfall, queues and customer demand.
- Remains calm, organised and solutions-focused during busy periods.
- Has excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Takes pride in maintaining consistently high standards.
- Is confident making sensible day-to-day operational decisions.
- Understands the importance of controlling labour, stock and waste.
- Understands that strong commercial performance and excellent guest service go hand in hand.
- Is adaptable and comfortable working across different styles of Food & Beverage operation.
- Is happy to work across both the Farm Park and Deer Barn Food & Beverage operations.
- Takes responsibility and follows through on tasks.
- Has a proactive, positive and hands-on approach.
- Is flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, evenings and Bank Holidays.

Working HoursThis is an hourly paid role, typically averaging approximately 35–40 hours per week across the year.Our business is highly seasonal, so working hours will vary throughout the year. You should expect higher hours during peak trading periods and reduced hours during quieter, off-peak periods.Working patterns may include:
- Daytime shifts
- Early starts
- Evening shifts
- Weekends
- Bank Holidays
- Late finishes when supporting the Deer Barn operation
- Increased hours during peak seasonal trading periods
