Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Café / Coffee Manager to oversee daily operations within a busy hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for excellent customer service, and a comprehensive background in food and beverage management. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team, ensure high standards of food safety and quality, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons.

Duties

Manage the day-to-day running of the café, ensuring smooth operations during shifts
Supervise and motivate staff, including baristas, servers, and kitchen personnel
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality standards
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
Organise staff rotas, training sessions, and performance evaluations
Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally
Maintain stock levels, order supplies, and manage inventory efficiently
Implement promotional activities to increase customer engagement and sales
Monitor financial transactions and ensure accurate cash handling procedures
Foster a positive team environment focused on hospitality excellence

Skills

Proven experience in supervising or managing restaurant or café teams
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices
Previous experience in hospitality or hotel environments is advantageous
Excellent leadership and team management abilities
Knowledge of food production processes and kitchen operations
Barista experience is highly desirable
Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
Outstanding communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence
Ability to lead by example while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanour

This role requires a proactive individual with a passion for delivering memorable dining experiences. Candidates should demonstrate flexibility, organisational prowess, and a commitment to maintaining high standards within a fast-paced setting.

Pay: £13.00 per hour
