Are you a talented Sous Chef looking for a new challenge and a better work-life balance?

Waterlooville Golf Club is seeking a highly skilled and creative Sous Chef to join our team and help us deliver outstanding food and service to our members.

At Waterlooville Golf Club, we understand that chefs often work long and unsociable hours, missing out on important family and social occasions. That's why we offer a unique opportunity for a Sous Chef to work in an environment where work-life balance is a priority. With regular daytime shifts and a five-day working week, our Sous Chef will have plenty of time to enjoy their personal life while still honing their culinary skills.

As our Sous Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in creating and delivering delicious and innovative menus. You will have the opportunity to work with a supportive team who are passionate about producing high-quality food and providing excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities:

Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and development
Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in a timely manner
Ensure consistency and quality in all dishes served
Manage and train junior kitchen staff
Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
Help to manage food costs and waste
Comply with all health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards
Assist with the management of stock and ordering of supplies

Qualifications and experience:

At least 1 years of experience as a Sous Chef in a busy kitchen
A passion for food and a creative approach to menu development
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
Knowledge of food hygiene and health and safety regulations
Ability to manage food costs and maintain quality control
A positive and professional attitude
