Overview

Join our dynamic bodyshop team as a Bodyshop Strip/Fit Technician and become a vital part of transforming damaged vehicles back to their original condition! In this energetic role, you'll be responsible for efficiently stripping damaged parts and fitting new components with precision and care. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your technical skills, work with a dedicated team, and contribute to delivering exceptional service to our customers. Whether you're experienced or eager to learn, your mechanical aptitude and enthusiasm will help drive our success forward!

Duties

Remove damaged panels, parts, and components using hand tools and power tools with accuracy and safety.
Prepare vehicles for repairs by carefully stripping and disassembling as needed.
Fit and align replacement parts, ensuring proper fitment and finish according to manufacturer specifications.
Assist in heavy lifting tasks, utilizing proper techniques and equipment to handle large or awkward parts safely.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools are properly stored and equipment is in good working order.
Follow safety protocols at all times, including the proper use of personal protective equipment.
Collaborate with other technicians to complete vehicle repairs efficiently and to high-quality standards.

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand vehicle structures and repair processes.
Proficiency in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, pry bars, etc., for removal and installation tasks.
Experience with power tools like drills, grinders, or pneumatic tools is highly desirable.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper posture and technique.
Excellent attention to detail to ensure precise fitting of parts and quality workmanship.
Good communication skills to work effectively within a team environment.
Willingness to learn new techniques and adapt to evolving repair methods.
