Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will assist in managing project costs, preparing estimates, and supporting the overall financial health of construction projects. Your proactive approach and keen eye for detail will contribute to delivering projects on time, within scope, and within budget. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual eager to develop their skills in cost management and construction economics.

Duties

Assist senior quantity surveyors in preparing cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
Support the procurement process by obtaining quotes from suppliers and subcontractors
Monitor project expenditures and ensure costs are controlled effectively throughout the project lifecycle
Conduct site visits to gather data, measure progress, and verify quantities for billing purposes
Maintain accurate records of project costs, variations, and contractual documentation
Collaborate with project managers and contractors to resolve cost-related issues promptly
Assist in preparing tender documents, bills of quantities, and cost reports to support project planning

Qualifications

A relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
Basic understanding of construction processes and terminology
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and external stakeholders
Knowledge of cost control practices within the construction industry is highly desirable
Proficiency in MS Office suite; familiarity with estimating or project management software is a plus
