Overview
We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Vehicle Technician to join our dynamic team. This paid position offers hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance and repair, providing a solid foundation for a career in automotive technology. The role involves learning from experienced technicians while developing essential skills in vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and customer service. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to grow within a professional environment that values technical aptitude and a proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

Assist with vehicle diagnostics and repairs under supervision, utilising schematics and technical manuals.
Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to perform maintenance tasks and minor repairs.
Support the assembly and disassembly of vehicle components during repair processes.
Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and brake inspections.
Assist with equipment repair and troubleshooting to ensure workshop efficiency.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding vehicle status and repairs.
Perform heavy lifting when required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.

Requirements

Basic mechanical knowledge or experience with vehicle systems is desirable but not essential; a keen willingness to learn is crucial.
Familiarity with schematics, assembly processes, and the use of hand tools or power tools is advantageous.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail.
Excellent communication skills for effective customer interaction.
Demonstrated interest in automotive technology or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. This apprenticeship provides valuable industry experience, supporting your development into a skilled Vehicle Technician through practical training and mentorship within our professional workshop setting.

Pay: £26,025.66 per year
