Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Bar Staff to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering excellent service in a lively bar environment, ensuring guests enjoy a memorable experience. This role offers an opportunity to develop hospitality skills, work in a dynamic setting, and be part of a friendly team committed to high standards of service and safety. Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.

Duties

Serve drinks and beverages efficiently and courteously to customers
Take orders accurately and ensure timely delivery of food and drinks
Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including organising stock and glassware
Check identification to verify legal drinking age
Handle cash transactions and operate POS systems with accuracy
Replenish stock as needed and assist in restocking supplies during quieter periods
Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests in a friendly manner
Assist with organising events or special promotions when required
Manage multiple tasks effectively whilst maintaining high standards of service

Qualifications

Previous experience in hospitality or food service is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in serving alcohol is advantageous
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently during busy periods
Good communication skills and a friendly demeanour to engage with diverse customers
Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
A responsible attitude towards health, safety, and alcohol service regulations
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or shifts as required by the business schedule
