This role is office-based; however, it also offers some agile or remote working based on service need

Are you a highly organised administrator who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to make a real difference? We’re looking for someone who can provide reliable, high-quality support to our Crisis & Resilience Fund project and wider anti-poverty work. This is a full-time post, but a job-share could be considered.

This is an important role where you’ll help keep services running smoothly, supporting both day-to-day operations and key projects that have a direct impact on local communities.

What you will be doing as an Administrator

You’ll provide a wide range of administrative support, including preparing materials for meetings and events, managing diaries and inboxes, and producing accurate, high-quality documents at pace. You’ll use a range of systems and tools to maintain databases and spreadsheets, support financial processes and help ensure information is well organised and accessible.

You’ll also work closely with colleagues and senior managers, providing effective support such as coordinating schedules, managing communications and carrying out research when needed. At times, you may be asked to minute complex meetings, ensuring clear and timely records are produced.

Essential skills you will need to have

Strong communication is key, as you’ll be working with people at all levels, both within the organisation and externally. You’ll need to be confident, professional and able to adapt your approach to different audiences and be a clear and effective communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to manage inboxes and diaries efficiently.

We’re looking for someone with previous high-level administrative experience. You’ll be highly organised, able to manage your time effectively and prioritise your workload in a busy environment. You should be confident using Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel and Forms, and comfortable working with systems and data. A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential in this role, along with good numeracy skills.

Qualifications or experience you will require

You should be educated to GCSE level (including English and Maths) and hold a Level 3 qualification in Business Administration or have equivalent experience. A relevant professional qualification in word processing may also be beneficial. Experience of minuting meetings and knowledge of relevant services or funding streams, such as DWP grants, would be an advantage, although not essential.
