Full job description

We are looking for friendly, customer-focused Tanning Consultants to join our Alloa salon on a temporary seasonal basis.

Applicants must be fully flexible and available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays. You must also be willing and able to provide additional cover when required, including at short notice.

Key Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and provide an excellent salon experience.
Meet or exceed daily, weekly and monthly sales targets and performance goals.
Promote tanning packages, lotions, accessories and other salon products.
Help customers select suitable tanning options based on their skin type and desired results.
Operate tanning beds safely and ensure they are properly cleaned and maintained.
Explain the importance of protective eyewear and following all tanning safety guidelines.
Monitor tanning sessions to ensure customer satisfaction and adherence to time limits.
Process payments accurately and efficiently.
Maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the salon, including sanitising tanning beds, wiping down surfaces and restocking supplies.
Keep up to date with salon products, services and industry trends.
Provide cover for other team members when required.

Experience and Skills

Previous customer service or sales experience is preferred but not essential.
Knowledge of tanning equipment, lotions and accessories would be beneficial.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build a positive rapport with customers.
A confident, friendly and professional manner.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Basic computer skills for processing payments and maintaining customer records.
A reliable and flexible approach to working hours.
