Overview
We are seeking 2 part time dedicated and experienced Sous Chefs to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional food and service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee kitchen operations, supervise staff, and contribute to creating memorable dining experiences in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The position is fully paid, with a focus on professional growth and development within our organisation.

Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high standards of food quality.
Supervise and motivate kitchen staff, including cooks and food preparation assistants, fostering a collaborative team environment.
Oversee food production processes, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards and presentation requirements.
Prepare and cook a variety of menu items, maintaining consistency in taste and appearance.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all kitchen areas.
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste to optimise kitchen efficiency.
Support training programmes for new staff members and provide ongoing coaching to enhance skills.
Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Skills

Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen or restaurant setting.
Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques.
Excellent team working abilities and be able to work alone
Deep understanding of food safety protocols and hygiene standards in hospitality environments.
Extensive kitchen experience, including culinary expertise across diverse cuisines.
Ability to organise workload efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Exceptional communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and management.

Knowledge of restaurant operations, serving procedures, and customer service principles.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £12.77-£15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
