Role: Veterinary Receptionist

Location: Blackberry Veterinary Clinic, Lingfield

Contract: Part-time, Permanent

In a practice that’s set in an idyllic location, no two days are the same here. We have recently had a refurbishment, extending our consulting rooms, updating the waiting room to include a cat area and a lab area. We carry out all first opinion GP procedures, i.e., dental, radiography and operations. How you'll make a difference

As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional, and compassionate experience at every interaction.

You’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications, and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.

Your role will involve:

Attending to clients in person or on the telephone with bookings or enquiries

Seeing through the client journey, from greeting, booking, taking payment and seeing them onwards

Managing the diary, bookings and keeping accurate records

Taking prescription requests and correctly allocating medications for the clinical team to check

Help with stock control, ordering and deliveries (including some light lifting)

Running end-of-day banking

Maintaining high standards in client-facing areas, keeping the clinic clean, tidy and stocked, both in the middle and end of the day, updating displays and client information packs.

Contributing to improvements and suggestions – we welcome new ideas on how to make things better for our clients, our patients and our staff.

This is a part-time permanent role working 27 hours per week. The shifts are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday between the hours of 8:00am-5:00pm. Wednesday shifts could be up to 4:00pm.
