Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary experience, and a commitment to delivering exceptional food quality. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee kitchen operations, manage food production, and ensure the highest standards of food safety and customer satisfaction. The Chef will play a vital part in creating innovative menus and inspiring our kitchen staff to achieve excellence in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Duties

Lead and supervise the kitchen team, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of food preparation and presentation
Oversee daily food production, ensuring all dishes meet quality specifications and customer expectations
Manage food safety protocols, including hygiene standards, storage procedures, and allergen management
Develop and implement innovative menus in collaboration with management, catering to diverse customer preferences
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs to optimise kitchen operations
Train and mentor junior staff, fostering a positive team environment centred on professional development
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Assist in the preparation of specialised dishes during busy service periods
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in accordance with industry standards
Serve as a role model for professionalism, hospitality, and culinary excellence

Qualifications

Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Supervising experience is highly desirable, demonstrating leadership capabilities in managing teams
Strong background in food production, food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary arts
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
Experience in restaurant service or hospitality is advantageous
Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
Good communication skills to liaise effectively with staff and management
Passion for culinary innovation and delivering outstanding dining experiences
