We are currently looking to recruit a Cleaning Supervisor (Flats Team) to join our dedicated Facilities Services Team, based at Riverside House, Rotherham S60 1AE.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday

9:00am to 3:00pm

52 weeks per year

About the Role

As a Cleaning Supervisor, you will play a key role within a responsive and supportive flats cleaning team, providing reactive cleaning cover across the Borough. This is a varied and active role where no two days are the same—you will visit a range of locations daily in line with service needs.

Part of your responsibilities will include driving a manual Council Fleet Vehicle; therefore, a full driving licence is required at the recruitment stage. You will also be required to undertake a driver assessment.

Key Responsibilities:

Clean and maintain communal areas in blocks of flats, including entrance, stairwell and landings, corridors, and in stores and other shared spaces.
Ensure all communal areas are clean, safe and welcoming to residents and visitors.
Maintaining cleaning equipment and ensure cleaning materials are used safely and stored efficiently.
Report any hazards or maintenance issues in the communal areas.
Follow health and safety procedures and ensure compliance with COSHH.
Demonstrate the ability to work flexibly and independently across multiple locations to support service needs.
Work well as part of a team, while also being confident working independently.
Have good time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
Be willing to travel between sites across the Borough.
Demonstrate a commitment to providing excellent service.
