Resident Services & Facilities Operative – Sheffield City Centre

Location: Sheffield City Centre

Pay: £15.00 - £18.00 per hour

Hours: Approximately 4 hours per week

Contract Type: Self-Employed Subcontractor

About Us

LKFM provides property support, cleaning and facilities management services across Yorkshire. We are looking for a reliable and professional Resident Services & Facilities Operative to support the day-to-day management of a residential development in Sheffield City Centre.

This role combines cleaning, site inspections and basic health and safety checks, making it ideal for someone with experience in cleaning, caretaking, property management or facilities services.

Duties and ResponsibilitiesCleaning & Communal Area Maintenance

Clean communal areas, corridors, entrance areas and stairwells
Litter pick and maintain cleanliness throughout the building
Ensure bin stores and waste areas are kept clean and organised
Report any cleaning concerns requiring further attention

Resident Services & Site Inspections

Conduct routine inspections of communal areas
Identify and report maintenance issues, defects and damage
Report anti-social behaviour, fly tipping and security concerns
Monitor the general condition of the building and surrounding areas
Take photographs and submit a brief report following each visit

Health & Safety Responsibilities

Carry out weekly fire alarm tests (full training provided)
Carry out routine emergency lighting tests (full training provided)
Check that fire exits and escape routes remain unobstructed
Identify and report health and safety hazards
Assist in maintaining a safe environment for residents and visitors

Working Schedule

Attendance is required on the following days:

Monday – approximately 1 hour
Wednesday – approximately 2 hours
Friday – approximately 1 hour

Additional hours may become available from time to time.

Requirements

Previous experience in cleaning, caretaking, property management or facilities management preferred
Reliable, trustworthy and professional
Able to work independently and manage tasks without supervision
Good attention to detail
Comfortable carrying out basic health and safety checks
Good communication skills
Smartphone capable of taking photographs and sending reports
Right to work in the UK
