Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Vehicle Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a variety of equipment to ensure optimal operational efficiency. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience to contribute to a dynamic work environment. Applicants should possess a proactive attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Duties

Conduct routine maintenance repairs on vehicles
Interpret diagnostic and mechanical diagrams to diagnose issues accurately.
Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for assembly, disassembly, and repair tasks.
Perform equipment inspections and identify potential faults before they lead to failure
Carry out heavy lifting tasks safely when handling large components or parts.
Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used.
Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with colleagues and clients regarding repair status or technical issues.

Skills/Requirements

Must be able to drive
Must be experienced with Engine related issues.
Strong understanding of vehicle mechanical systems.
Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
Knowledge of equipment repair techniques and preventative maintenance practices.
Ability to diagnose vehicle faults accurately and carry out repairs.
Good physical strength for heavy lifting tasks and manual handling activities.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly. This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to apply their mechanical expertise in a challenging yet rewarding environment. Candidates should be organised, safety-conscious, and committed to maintaining high standards of workmanship across all tasks undertaken.
