Front of House Waiting Staff (with Food Prep Skills)

Experience: Preferred but not essential (Full training provided)

Job Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Front of House Waiting Staff with food preparation skills to join our vibrant team in Loughborough. This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver exceptional guest service while contributing to the smooth operation of our restaurant.

The ideal candidate possesses a passion for hospitality, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This position is perfect for individuals eager to develop both their customer service and culinary skills within the hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Service & Service Delivery:

* Welcome guests warmly and deliver excellent customer service.

* Take accurate food and beverage orders.

* Ensure timely food delivery and guest satisfaction.

* Serve food and drinks confidently.

* Upsell menu items where appropriate to enhance the guest experience.

* Handle guest enquiries courteously and resolve issues promptly.

Kitchen Support & Food Prep:

* Assist with food preparation tasks.

* Comply strictly with food safety standards.

* Support kitchen staff during busy periods with basic food prep.

Operations & Maintenance:

* Maintain cleanliness and organization of all front-of-house areas.

* Keep tables and service stations clean.

* Manage billing and payments accurately at the point of sale.

* Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations at all times

Experience:

* Hospitality or restaurant experience is advantageous but not mandatory.

* Experience in guest services is a plus.

Core Skills:

* Knowledge of food safety standards.

* Basic food preparation techniques.

* Good communication skills.

* Friendly, professional demeanour.

* Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

* Strong organizational and time management abilities.

* Basic math skills for accurate transaction handling.

* Ability to upsell menu items effectively
