About the Role

We are seeking a strong, clinically led Registered Manager to lead Maesbrook, a well-established nursing home specialising in complex care, palliative care, and end-of-life support.

This is not a passive management role.

You will take full responsibility for the clinical, operational, and cultural performance of the service, ensuring high standards of care, strong governance, and a disciplined, accountable team.

What We’re Looking For

You must have:

Proven experience as a Registered Manager within a nursing home setting
A strong clinical background (RGN or RMN preferred)
Experience working within a home rated Good or above by CQC
Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and compliance frameworks
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and hold teams accountable
A track record of improving standards and driving measurable change

Key ResponsibilitiesClinical & Quality

Ensure residents receive safe, effective, person-centred care
Maintain high standards across care planning, medication, and risk management
Lead clinical governance, audits, and continuous improvement

Operational Leadership

Take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home
Ensure compliance with all CQC regulations
Manage staffing, rotas, and skill mix to maintain safe delivery

Team Leadership

Lead, develop, and hold accountable a multidisciplinary team
Drive a culture of high standards, ownership, and consistency
Oversee recruitment, supervision, and performance management

Stakeholder & External Relationships

Build strong relationships with families, professionals, and commissioners
Act as the main point of contact for CQC and external agencies
Represent and promote the service within the local healthcare network

Commercial & Governance

Maintain occupancy, reputation, and service sustainability
Oversee budgets, resources, and operational efficiency
Ensure the home remains compliant, stable, and well-led
