Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting young people in their development and well-being. This role involves working closely with children and adolescents, providing guidance, mentorship, and educational support to help them thrive in various environments.

Duties

Engage with young people to build trusting relationships and create a safe, supportive atmosphere.
Facilitate educational activities and workshops that promote personal growth and skill development.
Provide mentoring and guidance to help youth navigate challenges and achieve their goals.
Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to support the needs of each child effectively.
Assist in the planning and implementation of recreational activities that encourage teamwork and social interaction.
Maintain accurate records of interactions, progress, and any incidents that occur during sessions.
Ensure compliance with all safeguarding policies and procedures to protect the welfare of the children.

Qualifications

Previous experience working with children or adolescents in a mentoring or teaching capacity is essential.
A background in youth work or special education is highly desirable.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with young people from diverse backgrounds.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and conflict resolution.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
