Digital Print Operator

Hours of work: 36 hours per week (Continental shift pattern 12 hours, running 24/6 nights and days)

Location: Reydon, Southwold

About Us

Micropress Printers Limited is a leading print manufacturer, producing high-quality digital and litho products for customers nationwide. We are currently looking for a Night/Day Digital Print Operator to join our growing production team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in digital print - or for a motivated individual looking to build a career in print production. While experience is preferred, it is not essential. Full training will be provided for the right candidate who demonstrates a strong work ethic, a drive to learn, and the ability to take instruction and develop their skills.

The Role

As a Night/Day Digital Print Operator, you will play a key role in producing high-quality digitally print sheets for products such as magazines, books, catalogues, flyers and a wide range of other products. You will play a key role in producing high-quality finished products from digital flat sheet printing, including:

Stitched booklets
PUR bound books
Bound calendars and books
Laminated covers

You will work as part of a dedicated team to ensure customer orders are produced accurately, efficiently, and to the highest standard.

Responsibilities

Work well as an individual but with a view of being part of a wider team to ensure timely and accurate production.
Follow quality control procedures to ensure all products meet customer requirements
Remain calm and focused in a fast-paced production environment
Operate and maintain digital printing equipment
Monitor and adjust printing parameters (colour calibration, ink levels, alignment)
Carry out routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting
Conduct quality checks, identifying and resolving defects
Manage printing supplies and materials as required
Adhere to all company safety and operational procedures

What We’re Looking For (Experience preferred but not essential)

We are particularly interested in candidates who:

Show an interest in print and production
Have a positive attitude and willingness to learn
Can follow instruction and work methodically
Demonstrate strong attention to detail
Work well individually but also with an awareness of the goals of the wider team
Are reliable and committed to maintaining high standards

Previous experience in digital print, production, manufacturing, or finishing equipment would be beneficial, but full training will be provided to the right person.
