Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. As Head Chef, you will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation are maintained. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape our menu and inspire a talented team in a dynamic hospitality environment.

Duties

Lead and supervise the kitchen team, fostering a positive and efficient working environment
Oversee food production, ensuring consistency and high standards across all dishes
Manage food preparation and cooking processes, maintaining quality control at all times
Develop innovative menus in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards within the kitchen
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control to minimise waste
Train and mentor junior staff, promoting professional development and team management skills
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Maintain a proactive approach to health and safety procedures within the kitchen environment

Experience

Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen setting, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality environment
Extensive food production and culinary experience, demonstrating proficiency in various cooking techniques
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team effectively
Solid background in food safety practices and compliance with relevant regulations
Previous restaurant experience is essential; serving experience is considered an advantage
Knowledge of hospitality operations and customer service principles is desirable
