Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter and Decorator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying paint, wallpaper, and other finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling holes, and applying primer as necessary before painting or decorating.
Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, spray equipment, or other tools.
Ensure all work is completed to a high standard of quality and within specified timeframes.
Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Manage tools and materials efficiently, ensuring proper storage and maintenance.
Complete detailed documentation of work completed for client records.

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction painting or decorating is highly desirable.
Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation between sites.
Good command of English language for effective communication with clients and team members.
Strong communication skills with the ability to interpret instructions clearly.
Knowledge of health and safety standards relevant to painting and decorating activities.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
