Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Bar Staff to join our new opened lounge. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service in a lively bar environment, ensuring patrons enjoy a memorable experience. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic setting, engaging with diverse customers while maintaining high standards of hospitality and food safety. Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. The position is paid and suitable for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and possess strong organisational skills.

Responsibilities

Serve drinks and beverages efficiently and courteously to customers
Take orders accurately and handle cash or card payments using the POS system
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area throughout shifts
Ensure compliance with food safety and licensing regulations at all times
Restock supplies as needed, including glasses, garnishes, and beverages
Engage with customers to create a welcoming atmosphere and promote specials or events
Assist in setting up and closing down the bar at the beginning and end of shifts
Manage multiple tasks effectively, demonstrating excellent time management skills

Qualifications

Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is advantageous but not mandatory
Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service practices
Strong serving skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour
Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
Good organisational abilities to manage busy periods efficiently
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent time management skills to ensure smooth service flow
Friendly personality with excellent communication skills
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or during peak hours as required
