Part-time – 2 to 3 days per week (depending on availability)
Term-time only
Start Date: September 2026

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Lewisham is seeking a Level 3 qualified Early Years Educator to join their Reception team on a part-time basis from September 2026.

The Role
This is a part-time opportunity, working 2 to 3 days per week, with the specific working days agreed upon appointment to suit both the successful candidate and the school.
You will join a well-established Early Years team within the school’s Reception provision, working closely with the class teacher and other practitioners to create a nurturing, engaging and stimulating learning environment.
Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting the planning and delivery of high-quality, play-based learning activities
Promoting children’s progress across all areas of the EYFS curriculum
Delivering early phonics sessions and supporting children’s early language and literacy development
Leading small group activities and contributing to whole-class carpet sessions
Observing, assessing and recording children’s learning and development

The school is looking for someone with a strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum, excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for supporting young children to thrive.

A relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification
Experience working within an EYFS setting
A good understanding of the EYFS framework and play-based learning
A positive, enthusiastic and nurturing approach
Availability to work 2 to 3 days per week during term time
