Job Overview

Join our dynamic team as an experienced Swim Instructor and inspire confidence and a love for water in learners of all ages! In this energetic role, you will deliver engaging swimming lessons that promote safety, skill development, and enjoyment. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help participants achieve their goals while fostering a positive and motivating environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact through sports coaching and teaching, encouraging healthy lifestyles and water safety awareness.

Duties

Lead structured swim lessons tailored to different age groups and skill levels, ensuring clear progressions and achievable goals
Demonstrate proper swimming techniques, safety protocols, and water survival skills with enthusiasm and clarity
Assess each participant’s abilities and provide constructive feedback to support their development
Maintain a safe aquatic environment by enforcing safety rules, monitoring participants closely, and responding promptly to emergencies
Plan engaging lesson plans that incorporate fun activities to motivate learners and build confidence in the water
Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about progress, achievements, and areas for improvement
Keep accurate records of attendance, skill assessments, and milestones achieved by each swimmer

Experience

Prior experience in sports coaching or teaching swimming is highly preferred
Demonstrated ability to instruct individuals or groups with patience, clarity, and enthusiasm
Knowledge of water safety standards, rescue techniques, and first aid procedures is advantageous
Strong communication skills to effectively connect with learners of diverse backgrounds and ages
Ability to motivate others through positive reinforcement and energetic coaching methods
