Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef/Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong culinary expertise, leadership qualities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional food and service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee food preparation, manage kitchen operations, and ensure the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained. The successful applicant will play a vital role in creating a welcoming dining environment and inspiring team members to achieve excellence.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food production
Manage food safety protocols, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen
Oversee food presentation, ensuring dishes are served attractively and promptly
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to deliver seamless service to guests
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock rotation to minimise waste
Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
Train new team members in food preparation techniques, safety procedures, and customer service standards
Maintain a positive working environment that promotes teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, preferably within hospitality or restaurant settings
Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
Strong knowledge of food production, preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation skills
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure
Leadership qualities that foster teamwork and high standards of service
Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant roles is highly desirable
A passion for culinary arts and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences

Pay: £12.21-£19.29 per hour
