About Us

Onyx Scientific is a pharmaceutical Contract Development and Manufacturing Organisation (CDMO) working with academic, biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies across the globe. We provide scientific expertise from early-stage drug discovery through to commercial manufacture.

We are looking for an organised and proactive Business Support Administrator to join our team in Sunderland and provide essential support across commercial and operational activities.

The Opportunity

This is a varied administration role that offers exposure to client management, commercial operations and business support activities within a growing pharmaceutical organisation.

You will play a key role in ensuring processes run efficiently while supporting both internal teams and external clients.

Key Responsibilities

Managing client documentation including NDAs and service agreements
Maintaining CRM systems and customer records
Supporting the preparation and issuance of quotations and business documentation
Coordinating client communications and updates
Assisting with contract administration, tracking and document storage
Supporting invoicing processes and purchase order administration
Organising meetings, taking minutes and tracking actions
Maintaining accurate records in line with quality and regulatory requirements
Preparing reports, presentations and general business documentation
Providing administrative support including travel arrangements and event coordination

About You

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-focused administrator who enjoys supporting others and delivering excellent service.

You will be comfortable managing multiple priorities, maintaining confidentiality and working within structured processes.

Essential Skills & Experience

Previous experience in an administrative, business support, office administrator or coordinator role
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
Experience using CRM systems, databases or document management systems
Ability to manage confidential and commercially sensitive information

Desirable Experience

Experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences, manufacturing or other regulated industries
Knowledge of GMP, GxP or quality-regulated environments
Experience supporting contracts and service agreements
Familiarity with invoicing and purchase order processes
Experience supporting customer communications or commercial activities
