Full job description

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dependable and diligent Warehouse Operative to join our team. This role requires individuals with strong organizational skills, physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to meet specific qualifications and certifications. The successful candidate will ensure smooth and efficient warehouse operations, adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Manual Handling: Perform heavy lifting and transporting items in compliance with safety protocols.
Picking & Packing: Accurately pick, pack, and label items for dispatch according to client or internal specifications.
Receiving and Unloading: Accept, inspect, and unload deliveries while checking for damages or discrepancies.
Inventory Management: Organize, stock, and monitor inventory levels; conduct regular stock checks.
Loading and Dispatch: Prepare and load outgoing shipments while ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Equipment Handling: Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other machinery (if certified) to move goods around the warehouse.
Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to all workplace safety standards and actively contribute to maintaining a clean and hazard-free environment.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of goods received and dispatched. Use warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory tracking..
Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure seamless operations.

Requirements:

Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment (preferred)
Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as manual handling, lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods.

Skills:

Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Basic math and inventory tracking skills.
Excellent time management and reliability.

Certificates:

Forklift certification(preferred), If not full training will be provided.

Additional Preferences:

Familiarity with warehouse equipment and computer systems (e.g., WMS) is an advantage.
Education: Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
Flexibility: Willingness to work shifts, weekends, or overtime when required.
