Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and eager Apprentice Joiner / Hammer Hand to join our dynamic construction team. This entry-level role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop practical skills in carpentry, joinery, and general construction work. As an apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience assisting with fabrication, assembly, and installation tasks across various projects. This paid position is ideal for individuals passionate about building trades who are ready to learn, grow, and contribute to high-quality craftsmanship.

Duties

Assist skilled joiners with fabrication and assembly of timber and other materials using hand tools and power tools.
Support the installation of structures such as roofing, framing, and interior fixtures on-site.
Carry out heavy lifting tasks safely to transport materials around the worksite.
Participate in construction painting, masonry, plumbing, electrical work, and other trades as directed to broaden your skills.
Use hand tools including saws, chisels, hammers, drills, and screwdrivers to complete assigned tasks accurately.
Follow safety protocols diligently during all activities to ensure a secure working environment.
Support team members with general site cleanup and preparation to maintain an organized workspace.

Qualifications

Enthusiasm for learning carpentry, joinery, and construction trades with a proactive attitude.
Basic understanding of hand tools and power tools used in building environments.
Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights or in confined spaces if required.
Strong attention to safety procedures and willingness to follow instructions closely.
Prior experience or knowledge in fabrication, roofing, masonry, plumbing or electrical work is a plus but not essential.
Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
A valid driver’s license or reliable transportation is preferred for site access.
