Full job description

Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Head Housekeeper to oversee the cleanliness and organisation of our hotel premises. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality , with a keen eye for detail and excellent leadership skills. This role offers an opportunity to lead a team in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, ensuring guest satisfaction, and supporting the smooth operation of the hotel. The Head Housekeeper will play a vital role in upholding our reputation for exceptional service and hygiene standards.

Duties

Oversee and participate in the cleaning of hotel rooms and self-catering lodges
Inspect rooms and lodges to ensure they meet 4-star standards prior to guest arrival
Ensure the efficient day-to-day running of the housekeeping department
Oversee housekeeping hours and ensure they are aligned with departmental budgets
Maintain and uphold high cleanliness and presentation standards at all times
Lead, train, and motivate the housekeeping team
Monitor and manage stock levels of cleaning supplies and linens
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards
Liaise with reception and maintenance teams to support smooth operations
Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve any housekeeping issues

Experience

Previous experience in a housekeeping supervisory or management role, ideally within a 4-star hotel or similar environment
Hands-on approach with a willingness to work operationally
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards
Excellent organisational and time-management skills
Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
Good communication skills and a proactive attitude
Flexible, reliable, and hardworking

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
