Full job description

The LEV Group Ltd (Auto Extract Systems Ltd, iXtract Ltd, iDuct Ltd) are seeking an organised, proactive, and dual-skilled Group Safety & People Officer to oversee Health & Safety compliance and core Human Resources functions across our group of businesses.

In this role, you will be the driving force behind maintaining a safe, compliant and supportive workplace culture. You will split your expertise between ensuring rigorous H&S standards on the ground for our manufacturing and production facilities as well as managing the employee lifecycle from coordinating recruitment campaigns to onboarding and basic HR administration.

Key Responsibilities

Health & Safety

Develop, implement and maintain the Health & Safety Management System.
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
Carry out site inspections and audits.
Complete and review risk assessments, COSHH assessments and safe systems of work.
Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses.
Maintain accident records and RIDDOR reporting.
Organise Health & Safety training and inductions.
Ensure appropriate PPE is available and used.
Liaise with external advisors and regulators.
Monitor contractor compliance.
Chair Health & Safety meetings and report to management.

Human Resources

Manage recruitment, onboarding and induction.
Maintain HR policies and employee handbook.
Advise managers on employment law.
Manage disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance procedures.
Maintain personnel records.
Coordinate performance reviews and training.
Ensure compliance with employment legislation.

Compliance & Administration

Maintain training records.
Support ISO management systems (ISO 45001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001).
Prepare KPIs and management reports.
Coordinate external audits.

Requirements

Qualifications

NEBOSH General Certificate- Essential
CIPD Qualification - Highly desirable however hands on HR experience will also be considered

Experience in the manufacturing industry
Accident investigation and risk assessment
