Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive Assistant Facilities Manager. We are a diverse organisation with two operational studs and a commercial property portfolio valued in access of £300m. In this vital role, you will assist in overseeing maintenance activities and ensuring that all building systems function efficiently around the two studs and also the commercial property portfolio. You will report directly to the Facilities Manager and as necessary any directors of the Company.

Duties

Assist in coordinating daily maintenance operations, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Support the supervision of maintenance staff and contractors to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Help manage building systems and to troubleshoot issues effectively.
Contribute to project management efforts for upgrades or renovations, ensuring projects stay on schedule and within scope.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs for reporting purposes.
Support emergency response plans by conducting regular safety audits and inspections as directed.

Requirements

Proven experience with a focus on facilities or maintenance operations.
Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
Mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience.
Supervising experience in a facilities or technical environment is highly desirable.
Solid understanding of maintenance procedures, safety standards, and building systems management.
Proficiency in English for clear communication and documentation purposes.

Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
