We are recruiting for a full-time position at Manor Pharmacy in Wheathampstead.

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and dispensing of medications, ensuring that patients receive the correct prescriptions in a timely manner. Your focus on patient care and medication administration will contribute to the overall health and wellbeing of our community.

Responsibilities

Accurately prepare and dispense medications as per prescriptions issued by healthcare professionals.
Verify the identity of patients and ensure that all medication instructions are clearly communicated.
Maintain accurate records of medication dispensed, including dosage, frequency, and patient information.
Assist in managing inventory levels of pharmaceuticals and supplies, ensuring stock is replenished as needed.
Provide excellent patient care by answering queries regarding medications, side effects, and usage instructions.
Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to optimise patient outcomes.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and organisational policies

Requirements

Previous experience as a pharmacy dispenser or in a similar role is preferred.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.
Attention to detail is essential to ensure accuracy in dispensing medications.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of patient care.
