Overview
We are seeking a versatile and enthusiastic Cafe All-Rounder to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a lively environment and possess a passion for delivering excellent customer service. The successful candidate will be involved in various aspects of cafe operations, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and high-quality service for all patrons. Previous experience in food service is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. A positive attitude, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure are key to success in this role.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee and tea, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
Assist with food preparation tasks, ensuring all items meet safety and hygiene standards.
Serve customers at the counter or table, providing friendly and attentive service to enhance their experience.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, including clearing tables and cleaning equipment.
Handle cash transactions accurately using the till system, including processing payments and giving change.
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.
Adhere to food safety regulations and health & safety policies at all times.
Support team members during busy periods, demonstrating flexibility across different roles within the cafe.

Requirements

Previous barista experience or background in food service is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
Knowledge of food safety standards is desirable to ensure compliance with hygiene regulations.
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods.
Strong communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members.
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
A friendly demeanour with a genuine enthusiasm for delivering excellent customer service.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings if required.
