Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bakery Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will support the bakery operations by assisting with food preparation, baking, and maintaining high standards of food safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about culinary arts and food production to develop their skills within a busy bakery environment.

Duties

Assist in preparing ingredients and dough for baking, ensuring consistency and quality.
Support the baking process by operating ovens and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
Help with food presentation, packaging, and finishing touches for baked goods.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bakery workspace in accordance with food safety standards.
Ensure all ingredients and supplies are stored correctly and stock levels are monitored regularly.
Support the team during busy periods by assisting with various kitchen tasks as required.

Skills

Experience in food production, preparation, or cooking is highly desirable.
Knowledge of baking techniques and culinary practices.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in a kitchen environment.
Previous experience in a restaurant or bakery setting is advantageous.
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different tasks within the bakery environment. This role provides an excellent platform for those passionate about baking and culinary arts to gain practical experience while contributing to a vibrant bakery team.
