Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Community Care Workers to provide high-quality support and assistance to individuals in their homes . This role involves delivering personalized care to enhance the wellbeing and independence of clients, particularly those with specialized needs such as dementia, Alzheimer's, The ideal candidate will possess a genuine desire to make a positive difference in people's lives.

Duties

Assist clients with daily activities including personal hygiene, continence care, dressing, and mobility support
Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's, or other cognitive impairments
Support with medication administration following prescribed guidelines
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
Promote mental and emotional wellbeing
Manage behavior effectively through compassionate care and behavior management techniques
Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe and clean environment
Drive clients to appointments, social activities, or errands as required
Offer emotional support and companionship to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation
Document care provided accurately in accordance with organizational policies

Requirements

Previous experience not essential as full training will be given
Knowledge of patient care, dementia, hospice, and Alzheimer's care is advantageous
Relevant certifications such as First Aid are preferred
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when necessary
Valid driving license
Strong communication skills and empathetic nature
Ability to handle behavioral challenges with patience and professionalism
Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, afternoons, or evenings as required
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to health and safety standards
