Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Back of House Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our busy restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for culinary excellence, and a thorough understanding of food safety and kitchen procedures. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage a dynamic team, ensure high standards of food production, and contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure smooth food preparation and service
Oversee food production processes, maintaining quality and consistency in all dishes
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients
Enforce food safety standards and hygiene regulations across the kitchen
Assist with food preparation and cooking when necessary to support team operations
Train new staff members on kitchen procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards
Monitor staff performance, provide constructive feedback, and foster a positive team environment
Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery
Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen area at all times

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management
Strong supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
Extensive knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Experience in restaurant or hospitality environments; hotel or barista experience is advantageous
Leadership qualities with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making
Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and suppliers
Familiarity with culinary techniques and a passion for delivering high-quality dishes
Previous experience in serving or hospitality roles is beneficial but not essential
